The decorative Wire floor lamp is defined by the chrome-plated steel wire framework that widens at the top to support the white hemispherical plastic shade. The bulb is contained in a small, also hemispherical metal reflector, which guides the light to the inside of the shade. The wire frame gives the design a distinctive, yet very light and non-intrusive appearance, and the white shade offers plenty of ambient light.

Verner Panton (13.02.1926 r. – 5.09.1998 r.) uznawany jest za jednego z najbardziej wpływowych duńskich projektantów mebli i wnętrz XX wieku.
Tworzył innowacyjne i futurystyczne projekty, wykorzystując liczne materiały (w szczególności tworzywa sztuczne) i żywe kolory. Jego styl był bardzo mocno zakorzeniony w latach 60., ale odzyskał popularność pod koniec XX wieku. Najbardziej znane modele mebli Pantona są wciąż produkowane.
